It has almost been a whole month since little Zackery was born. Life with an extra child has proven to be much like having four. Zackery is not fussy at all. Looking back to when Asher & Leland were newborns caring for Zackery is a breeze! My only complaint is that the little cutie grunts, wiggles, sighs, and makes all kind of cute noises while he is asleep. We were co-sleeping, but since he sleeps for a few hours at a time now, momma had to put him in the pack-n-play by the bed. Now momma can sleep too!
Canyon is ten years old. He is growing a lot. I do mean a lot. It seems we are constantly buying him bigger pants. He is waiting on his root beer kit to arrive. I’ll be sure to get pictures of the process and share here.
Trenten will be officially staring school this year. We all will. This is the first year we purchased actual curriculum.
Asher and Leland have settled into their role as big brothers well. They are not jealous a bit. Leland can say about a million words if you can pry it out of him. His favorite word to date is ‘cup‘. My favorite to hear him say is ‘sauce’ (ketchup) and ‘squash’. Asher is a man of few words. I am sure the flood gates will open soon enough.
The garden is pretty much dried up. This is the first year we got a good harvest of watermelons. The butter beans are still putting off and the rest is finished. I am going to try and tally up what we were able to can soon. It was our biggest harvest so far.
God bless
